“Was Kensington fire a message from drug dealers?”

Citypaper‘s Isaiah Thompson writes about the fire that erupted in an abandoned home on the 900 block of E. Westmoreland St. The targeted house is the focus of the Kensington Renewal Initiative where the house will be rehabilitated and sold to become owner occupied.  Because of the previous high crime rates from the area and the abundance of abandoned houses it is suggested that this fire was an act of arson by a group of drug drugdealers to get back at the community members which are trying to rid the neighborhood of criminal activity.
