The first Kensington Renewal home is finished and ready for an owner! The open house held Sat. September 8th was a great success. Many folks from around the neighborhood stopped in to take a look at the beautifully finished house at 921 E. Westmoreland St. Thanks to all of those who came by to show your support and to those who were interested in the home. This will be the first of many more projects to come so stay tuned for more information. Here are some pictures from the exciting day!
We’re so thankful for Pennsylvania Senator Robert P. Casey, Jr.‘s staffers Jennifer McCloskey & Kurt Imhof, who joined us today to discuss housing policy & mortgage banking reforms. Jamie Moffett provided a tour of the neighborhood & info on the Kensington Renewal initiative. It was a great success, and we’re excited to have them join us in revitalizing Kensington and neighborhoods like it all across Pennsylvania.
Newsworks.org came by Kensington and took a stroll through the neighborhood. With a tour of the first rehabbed Kensington Renewal house they got to see how this block is no longer home to criminal activity. Check out the video below!
